Learning the ham radio hobby!

Started the journey in 2020 as I needed a licence (KJ7LUR) for using radios while overlanding. Then for a few years nothing, and came back to the hobby towards the end of 2024. In February 2025, I got my General, and vanity K1PAP call sign.

Love POTA and will soon also try SOTA! Active on local SoCal repeaters.

I enjoy SSB, and FT8. Operate upto 200W as well as QRP, and am learning CW.

Auxiliary member of MESAC in Costa Mesa, CA, and PAPA System repeaters, as well as Catalina Amateur Radio Association.

Starting to learn CW through CW Academy, and being on the air during K1USN SST Friday's and Sunday's. Hunting POTA/SOTA CW. Please be patient.
